“Breathing is one of the most important components in managing your arousal levels and eventually holding back your ejaculation during sex.” – Lloyd Lester.
If you want to hold back your ejaculation and last longer during sex, you have to control your sexual arousal…
…and the best way to control your sexual arousal is to have conscious control over your breathing.
The way you breathe, the speed and depth of each breath are very important.
Notice how your breathing quickens and becomes shallow as you get more and more sexually excited?
If you focus on your breathing and make a conscious effort to control it, you’re going to last much longer.
In this post, I share with you how to control your breathing during sex in order to manage your sexual arousal and hold back ejaculation…
…and consequently, last much longer during sex.
So without further ado… let’s get started.
As sexual excitement builds…
…you breathe much more quickly alongside other bodily functions.
This phase holds the key to lasting as long as you desire.
If you concentrate on slowing down your breathing throughout sex, you’re guaranteed to last much longer.
How do you do this?
Let’s get into it.
2 breathing techniques to help you last longer in bed
If you want to hold back your ejaculation and prolong intercourse, make a conscious effort to control your breathing.
This is how the first breathing technique goes:
Breathe in slowly for 3 seconds… hold your breath for 3 seconds… and breathe out for another 3 seconds… repeat the pattern again until you feel yourself getting back in control.
The second breathing technique is to synchronize your breathing with your thrusting movements.
When you feel you are getting too excited down there and your arousal and excitement is getting out of control, slow down and try to synchronize your breathing with your thrusting movements.
This is how it’s done:
Exhale as you penetrate, and inhale when you are withdrawing your penis.
Understand: You cannot synchronize your breathing with every thrusting movement or with every penetration you make. So, perform this breathing technique for the first 5 thrusts or more until your arousal subsides.
Breathing Tips for Lasting Longer in Bed
- Take deep, slow breaths – Maintaining slow, deep breaths throughout intercourse gives you greater control.
- Breathe deeply into your stomach – As you breathe in, your belly should be moving out… so instead of sucking in your belly when breathing in, push it out.
- Keep your shoulders still – Your shoulders should not be moving up and down when breathing… keep them level at all times.
- Breathe-in through your nose and out your mouth.

By taking control of your breathing during intercourse, you will be able to delay ejaculation and prolong intercourse for as long as you want… of course, you will need to completely relax your ejaculatory muscle while making a conscious effort to control your breathing.
